Major General Khaled Khalil: We Establish a New Phase for the Tihami Movement; The Political Bureau Is a Shield and Sword to Seize Rights and Confront Houthi Crimes

Al-Khawkhah, Al-Hudaydah
In a powerful and message-filled address, Major General Khaled Khalil, commander of the Tihami Movement and head of its Political Bureau, announced the inauguration of the movement’s Political Bureau. He described the move as a “fateful step” to complete institutional building and unify the movement’s ranks. This announcement came during a memorial service for the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri, whom Major General Khalil described as “a proud Tihami lion and mountain.”
In his speech, Major General Khalil connected the blood of the martyr Hajri to the establishment of this new phase. He affirmed that the Political Bureau is the embodiment of a “collective will and institutional approach” to translate the movement’s goals into clear positions and strategies. He stressed that the bureau would be “the voice of the people, their tongue, their shield, and their sword to seize their rights,” emphasizing that its role would not be a mere tool for decoration but a voice against injustice.
Major General Khalil directed strong accusations at the Houthi militia, blaming them for “systematic crimes” against the people of Tihama, including forced displacement and mass executions following sham trials, all with the goal of “changing the demographic composition and exploiting the region.” He also sharply criticized the Stockholm Agreement, calling it a “pretext to save the Houthi militias” after the Tihami Resistance was on the verge of liberating the city of Al-Hudaydah.
In a decisive message to the international community, Major General Khalil described Tihama today as a region “aflame with legitimate anger.” He warned that if the grievances of its people are not addressed, they could lead to unrest that threatens regional stability. He further emphasized that the security and safety of international navigation in the Red Sea and on its islands are the responsibility of the local people themselves. He stressed that “there will be no stability in this region without liberating Tihama from the Houthi occupation and empowering the people of Tihama to manage their region’s affairs.”
In conclusion, Major General Khalil expressed gratitude to the Arab Coalition leadership, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for their generous support. He affirmed that the movement would move forward with its struggle in loyalty to the martyrs.

“And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
O Allah, send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions.
His Excellency Dr. Al-Hasan Taher, Governor of Al-Hudaydah,
Honorable guests from the House of Representatives, judges, sheikhs, dignitaries of Tihama, leaders of the Tihami Brigades and the Southern Giants Forces, general directors of executive offices, and district directors…
My brothers and sisters, the free people of Tihama…
Honorable attendees,
I greet you with the greeting of Islam,
Peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of God,
And I greet you with the greeting of Tihama, the greeting of dignity, honor, and sacrifice.
I say to you: You are welcome in the land of Tihama.
We meet today with hearts aching with sadness, and our tears are still hot over the loss of one of the greatest men of Tihama, the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri… that lion and towering Tihami mountain who lived in our hearts with his stances, his greatness, his patience, his nobility, and his steadfastness on the cause.
Yes… the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri has departed, but his spirit has not. His voice still echoes in our depths and roars within us:
“Tihama is not for sale, the blood of its men is not to be bargained with, and dignity is not given, but must be seized!”
Honorable attendees…
We stand today with tearful hearts to mourn a hero of Tihama and the nation, and we also stand to light a new torch on the path of our struggle, on the very same path the late leader walked… We announce to you from this place, and on this land watered by the blood of martyrs, the inauguration of the Political Bureau of the Tihami Movement as an inevitable step towards completing the institutional building called for by the martyred leader, entrenching the peaceful struggle, and translating the movement’s goals into clear positions, decisions, and strategies.
The Houthi militias, who are agents of Iran, have committed systematic crimes and violations against the people of Tihama. These crimes include forced displacement, assaults on women and children, forceful seizure of property and land, and storming villages, which led to casualties and the forced displacement of residents. The Houthi militias have also carried out mass executions of Tihami people on fabricated charges after sham trials. These crimes and violations are part of a complete series aimed at spreading terror, changing the demographic and social structure, and economically and militarily exploiting the region for the militia’s project.
The ominous Stockholm Agreement was a pretext to save the Houthi militias after the Tihami Resistance was on the verge of the city of Al-Hudaydah.
The free people of Tihama, led by the Tihami Movement, formed their Tihami Resistance to stand united, along with every free patriot, to defeat the Houthi militias, Iran’s agents.
The people of Tihama fought to liberate Tihama, and the Southern Giants and National Resistance participated hand-in-hand with the Tihami Resistance. All these capabilities and efforts would not have been possible without the generous, fraternal support from the leadership of the Arab Coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the brotherly United Arab Emirates, to whom we extend all thanks and gratitude.
On this day, where we combine loyalty and establishment, we affirm that the blood of the martyr Hajri and his heroic comrades will not be shed in vain. Rather, it will be a beacon to guide us and a methodology to follow with confidence toward seizing our rights and translating the aspirations of the people of Tihama for freedom, dignity, and a better, prosperous future, God willing.
Our late leader was a mountain from the mountains of Tihama…
He never submitted, never compromised, never wavered, and never backed down from any position he believed in…
He walked with his head held high, his voice shaking the earth:
“Tihama will not be broken… and the blood of its people will not be in vain.”
O our people in proud Tihama and in our dear nation…
As we bid farewell today to the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri, we raise a new banner…
The banner of organized political work…
The banner of the inauguration of the Political Bureau of the Tihami Movement.
This is not empty talk or a false display, but a specific direction…
And a step drawn from our pain, our blood, our sacrifices, and from the years of injustice, oppression, and abandonment practiced against the people of Tihama, expressing the aspirations of all Tihamis to move towards a better reality and obtain all their legitimate rights.
The Political Bureau of the Tihami Movement is nothing but your voice, your tongue, your shield, and your sword to seize your rights.
Honorable attendees…
The inauguration of the Political Bureau is not just an organizational announcement; it is the embodiment of a collective will and an institutional approach born from the people’s suffering, the land’s pains, the mothers’ cries, the orphans’ tears, and the wounds of the oppressed in Tihama.
It is a structure that expresses our aspirations, a voice that represents our people, a political tongue for our cause, and a stance that addresses both the internal and external world with the language of reason, right, and sovereignty.
The Tihami Movement will proceed, God willing, with sincere leadership, with popular arms extending into every district of Tihama, and with political, media, and legal tools that express our voice with all respect and strength, delivering it everywhere. What we always demand in Tihama is justice, humanity, the right to participate in power and wealth, equal citizenship, and for the people of Tihama to manage their own affairs away from any guardianship, exclusion, or marginalization.
Our Political Bureau will not be a tool for decoration or flattery; rather, it will be a voice for the people, a mirror for them, a sword in the face of injustice, and a shield against anyone who tries to harm Tihama and its people.
May God have mercy on our martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri and join us with him while we are on his path, sincere, steadfast, and faithful.
In conclusion, my message to the Yemeni and international communities is that Tihama today is a region aflame with legitimate anger, and if the grievances of its people are not addressed, it could lead to disturbances that threaten regional stability. The responsibility for the security and safety of international navigation in the Red Sea region and its islands is the responsibility of the people of the region themselves, who are most knowledgeable about its affairs and are primarily concerned with taking on the responsibility to fulfill this duty. We affirm that there will be no stability in this region without liberating Tihama from the Houthi occupation and empowering the people of Tihama to manage their region’s affairs.
Honorable attendees… in closing,
We ask God,
Mercy for the martyrs,
Freedom for the prisoners,
Healing for the wounded,
Dignity for Tihama,
And victory for our just cause.
May God have mercy on the heroic leader Abdulrahman Hajri and all his blessed companions.
Long live a free and proud Tihama.
Peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of God.
Major General Khaled Abdullah Khalil
Commander of the Tihami Movement – Head of the Political Bureau
