Al-Khawkhah( Al-Hudaydah)
The Peaceful Tihami Movement has announced the inauguration of its political bureau, a qualitative step aimed at organizing its work and unifying its ranks.
This announcement came during a memorial event held in Al-Khawkhah to honor the soul of the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri, one of the most prominent pillars of the Tihami struggle and a founder of the resistance.
In an important statement delivered during the ceremony, the Tihami Movement affirmed that the memorial for the martyred Hajri is not just a tribute but “a new starting point for an organized struggle.” The statement described the late leader as “one of the pillars of the Tihami struggle and a symbol of dignity and heroism,” pointing to his sacrifices that paved the way for the fight for the rights of the people of Tihama.
The statement clarified that the inauguration of the political bureau aims to “entrench institutional work, develop our political tools, and unify our discourse and political stance for the effective and legitimate representation of the Tihami cause internally and externally.” It also emphasized that this restructuring is a “national necessity” to unify the ranks, qualify cadres, and formulate a clear political project that expresses the aspirations of the people of Tihama.
In a related context, the movement announced the unification of its media policy to be “platforms that speak for the cause with clarity and balance,” with the goal of confronting distortion and shedding light on the suffering and just demands of the people of Tihama. The statement began by recalling the “historical, political, humanitarian, and cultural injustice” that Tihama has suffered, confirming that the movement is an authentic voice born from suffering to restore dignity to the people of the region.
The statement concluded by affirming the commitment to moving forward with this pledge, in loyalty to the martyrs, and in the belief that “the voice of Tihama will not be silenced, and the rights of Tihama will not be lost with the passage of time.”
Full Text of the Statement:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”
O free people of Tihama,
O people of the land that bleeds in silence and rises with patience,
On this painful yet honorable day, we gather to honor the soul of the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri, a pillar of the Tihami struggle and a symbol of dignity and heroism, who rose in defense of his people’s cause, carrying his soul in his hands, believing in the justice of Tihama and the stolen rights of its people.
Tihama has been and continues to be a stage for complex injustice:
Historical injustice through exclusion and marginalization, political injustice through neglect and discrimination, humanitarian injustice in services and livelihood, and cultural injustice through attempts to erase the Tihami identity, language, and specificity. This has made Tihama an open wound in the side of Yemen and its people, caught between the fire of poverty and the chains of marginalization and exclusion.
Amidst this painful reality, the Peaceful Tihami Movement emerged as an authentic voice, born from the womb of suffering to carry the cause of Tihama on its shoulders and proceed with steady steps towards liberation from injustice and building a reality worthy of the people of Tihama and their glorious history.
The memorial for the martyred leader Abdulrahman Hajri represents a station of loyalty, but it is also a new starting point for an organized struggle.
On this blessed day, we announce:
The inauguration of the Political Bureau of the Tihami Movement, a qualitative step towards entrenching institutional work, developing our political tools, and unifying our political discourse and stance for the effective and legitimate representation of the Tihami cause both internally and externally.
We affirm that the restructuring of the movement and the organization of its departments and specializations are not mere formalities; rather, they are a national necessity aimed at unifying the ranks, qualifying cadres, and formulating a political project with clear features that expresses the aspirations of the people of Tihama and is based on the sacrifices of the martyrs, detainees, and freedom fighters.
We also announce the unification of the Tihami Movement’s media policy, to be platforms that speak for the cause with clarity and balance, expressing the authentic Tihami voice, confronting attempts at distortion and falsification, and shedding light on the suffering and just demands of our people.
O free people,
Today we stand before a great trust and an unwavering covenant. In loyalty to the martyrs, especially our leader Abdulrahman Hajri, we declare that we will move forward, united and organized, believing that the voice of Tihama will not be silenced, and the rights of Tihama will not be lost with the passage of time.
We ask God,
Mercy for the martyrs,
Freedom for the prisoners,
Healing for the wounded,
Dignity and honor for Tihama,
And victory for our just cause,
And God is a witness to what we say.
God is the greatest… and may Tihama live free and proud.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
